BEGINNERS WELCOME!
Participating in a Group Fitness class is one of the best ways to have fun while working out. Not only will Group Fitness classes keep you motivated, they will allow you to determine exactly how hard you want to workout. Body Shop Fitness Centers have created a solid foundation of fun, modern and traditional workout classes with certified class instructors so we can assure members that they are receiving the best instruction and experience possible. *NEW CLASSES – Yoga-Pump and Cross-Condition
Yoga: A yoga workout that approaches strength from a different angle, emphasizing muscle endurance rather than pure power. Focuses on musculature to enhance strength, flexibility, focus, and balance while toning the entire body. The yoga poses will give an all-over stretch but also build strength. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace.
TNT (Tone and Tighten): Perfect for the novice to the expert! This class is built on the basics of aerobics with the fun of dance. It is open to all abilities but focuses on simpler combinations that target the core. The focus is to tone the elements while tightening and firming.
Zumba® Are you ready to party yourself into shape? That’s exactly what the Zumba® program is all about. It’s an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party™ that’s moving millions of people toward joy and health.
Muscle Confusion workouts operate under the theory that by constantly changing movements, the body will be forced to respond. Under typical workout routines (doing the same type of exercises a few times a week), muscles become used to the routine and the results are minimized. Muscle confusion workouts mix up the routines so the muscles have a harder time adapting, which causes them to work harder and produce visible results. Exercises might go from strength training one day to aerobics the next. The goal is to always keep the body guessing so that it does not become accustomed to one specific workout and stop responding.
Cross-Condition: STARTS IN JUNE 2012-High Energy and High Intensity! Using an obstacle course and other gym elements, expect lots of running, jumping, lunging, sprinting, and squatting. A class for all fitness levels. Sports based moves and drills to challenge. Strength and endurance all in one class. This class is for the individual with dedication and discipline.
Yoga-Pump: STARTS May 15 – Shape up and lose body fat with a strength training class to tone and condition using weights for the 1st 1/2 of class. Then the second 1/2 of class will focus on the continuation of building strength, as well as incorporating flexibility and balance, body awareness, and stress reduction with Yoga. It’s the best of both worlds AND the perfect class for perfect balance in life.
Saturday Morning Special: What a way to start the weekend! All of our instructors requested this class to showcase their various disciplines in group fitness. You will have a blast! You will always get a great workout plus a chance to try something a little different. This class has filled up every week so get there early to ensure your place!
